CHALLENGE # 1
Here's the challenge. Somewhere in the area shown in the above map is an off-the-shelf, 2.4 GHz x10 camera. We want you to find it.
The camera is on one of the basic 4, x10 channels. How will you know which camera it is? Well...we made it pretty easy. If you find it, you will know it.
What can we tell you about it? We'll give you the following information:
WHAT DO YOU GET FOR FINDING THE CAMERA?
Nothing. Sounds bad, but please wait. We would like for you to send proof of your camera spotting (all information about this will be on the camera's broadcast) Also, send any information about the rig that you used to find it. This challenge is a way for us to find how many WARspyers there are in LA, and for all of us to learn about other people's hardware.
WHY SEND PROOF AND DETAILS?
We plan on stepping up the challenges in the future, each camera's difficulty, placement, and frequency depends on the results of the previous challenge. So while this one may be weak for some of us, but please participate and next time we promise to think up a treat.
In addition, we will post information about your WARspy Box.
Now for the necessary stuff...
THE RULES
The owners of this location gave us permission to use their space for this challenge, they are good friends of ours and we really don't want to ruin that. So please be respectful. Don't go snooping around (you won't have to go further than the street to find the camera). And please don't bother the residents.
Do not ruin the game. If you find the camera, do not pass the location on to all your friends, this is a test to see what everyone is capable of. Don't ruin it for others.
And finally, while we do not condone looking at video feeds that may be in anyway private, enjoy the area, there maybe some interesting stuff. If you find anything cool let us know. I've heard some of
